Two New Poems from the Heartland

My two latest poems - "Along the Dry Line" and "Listening to Black Elk" - are now posted at www.ruesansregret.blogspot.com . I read them for the first time last night at the Iota Club and Cafe, in Arlington, Virginia.

Steven B. Rogers . . . .

is originally from Chicago and is an independent cultural, social and military historian and research consultant based in Washington, DC. He holds a visitors diploma from the Pädagogische Hochschule and the Albert-Ludwig-Universität,
in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany; a BA in German and English from Florida Southern College; a MA in German Literature from the University of Arizona; and a PhD in Germanic Studies from the University of Maryland. His essays, articles, poems, reviews and translations have appeared in several books, journals, magazines, encyclopedias, and anthologies. He is currently working on a novel set in northwestern Maine in the 1950s, and on several other fictional works, most of which are set in rural Maine and Nova Scotia. Having retired from the US Department of Justice in early 2010 after 32 years of service investigating war crimes and human rights violations, he and his artist wife SallyAnn continue to reside in historic Mount Rainier, Maryland, on the edge of Washington, DC. They also enjoy spending considerable time in New England and Florida.
